What is a bench warrant?
If you do not comply with the court’s judgment, your bank account may be seized. With a bank attachment, your account is temporarily blocked and your money is used to pay the unpaid amount. During the period of the attachment, you can no longer withdraw money. Money deposited into your account after the attachment cannot be withdrawn. By law, the bank must cooperate with this attachment.
What can I do if my bank account is seized?
You can pay the entire amount directly via iDEAL or one of the other payment options. When we have received and processed the payment, we will ask the bank to stop the bank seizure. Processing your payment can sometimes take a while. Of course you can also call us about this, but then we must first receive proof of payment from you by e-mail.
You can send that to info@bosveld.nl and also include your case number in this email.
Can I ask my bank to hurry up?
You can also ask your bank to communicate the outcome of the bank garnishment to Bosveld as soon as possible. Ask your bank to send a “third-party statement” to Bosveld. In this statement the bank tells us whether there was any money in your account during the attachment. Once we have received and processed this statement from the bank, we can ask the bank to stop the bank attachment.
