What fees may the bailiff charge?
The costs that a judicial officer can charge to you are listed in the btag (decree on fees for official acts of judicial officers). Thus, the bailiff may charge you for actions such as: issuing a summons, serving a judgment and levying an attachment. This also applies to costs of collection activities, for example.
What are collection costs?
As of July 1, 2012, the Law on Standardization of Extrajudicial Collection Costs (also known as the Law on Collection Costs or WIK) applies. This law legally regulates the amount of collection costs in a graduated scale.
The fee for collection costs is calculated as a percentage of the amount due, with the percentage decreasing as the claim increases. Collection fees are due after the expiration of 14 days from receipt of the reminder.
